I think it’s difficult, surrounded by this vast sensory soup we live in, not to be influenced by things we’ve seen before—but that doesn’t excuse blatant ripoffs. I’m astounded when people use one of my WordPress themes, remove the link, and pretend it’s their own design. But if you’re going to steal someone’s website… better know what you’re doing. When some shameless “designer” ripped off Bryan Katzel’s site, still linking to the original images, Bryan got his revenge. Sweet.
